Positive: The property is recently renovated and has a very tropical South Pacific island vibe with beautiful rooms, spacious bathrooms, and a microwave and coffee maker in the room. There is even a small outdoor deck for each room. It's centrally located on the island and a perfect base for exploring Sanibel and Captiva. I did not use the pool, but it looked lovely and I saw floats by the pool and pool towels in the room. They accommodate late check-ins as well. I would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!

Negative: My only complaint (minor) is that the outdoor walkways and parking lot are a little too dim at night.

Positive: Everything from the room to the facilities are well kept, clean and looks like new. Very tropical and warm feels. Nice kitchenette in the room. There were very nice outdoor dining areas with grills, great for group getaways!

Negative: I was given a handicap accessible room with a small clothing rack, rather than the one I selected for booking. Because of the location of the property, there were a couple small bugs that got into the room. For the price, I would also recommend providing more bed linens, a shower cap, an actual closet to hang things in, not a cheap rack, and a finished lounge room by the pool, more umbrellas at the pool, would add more value to the pricing. The staff was very friendly and the receptionist was very friendly and kind.

Positive: The hotel had just reopened a week earlier following damage sustained in 2022 from Hurricane Ian, so occupancy was quiet with only one other room being occupied whilst we stayed there. As a result the whole hotel is new, with the decor and room fixtures & fittings being brand new. Rebecca at reception told us that we were the first to stay in our suite which was nice ! The swimming pool at the hotel is a great size and had an 8ft deep end and was lovely and warm. The rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated with kitchen facilities and a great airy bathroom with excellent shower. There was ample sockets for charging throughout the room. The location is perfect for shops and groceries with a 7-Eleven next door and MudBugs, a great bar/restaurant and a pizza restaurant within easy walking distance.

Negative: There were blinds on the room's windows, however there were two additional windows above the door without any blinds. This made the room become very light early in the morning. I would have preferred if there were blinds on the windows to keep the room darker for longer. The rooms are chalet-type construction with suspended floors. When we were the only occupants, this was not an issue, however when the next-door room was occupied for one night during our stay, there was a lot of noise to be heard mainly banging of floors which did disrupt our stay.

Positive: Great place tucked away behind their sign. It's a little oasis. I loved jumping in the pool after riding my bike home from the beach. I had no complaints. The check in out process was easy. I never saw the owners. I had my rental bike delivered to the property. I've been coming to Sanibel for years and always wanted to stay here, it did not disappoint.

Negative: What was once one of our favorite places to stay on Sanibel is no longer a very welcoming place. The staff did not take any time to see how we liked the place or if we needed anything. In fact they beyond "Good morning" they didn't talk to us at all and were gone most of the time. What we did get was a long list of rules like we have never seen before.

Summary: It is doubtful that we will be staying there again.
